FACILITATION WORKSHOP
FOR ORGANIZATIONS

At a time when organizations are seeking to leverage their existing resources, training people in facilitative skills is a highly efficient way to ensure that 1) meetings are productive; 2) critical conversations are well managed; and 3) individuals at every level are working in a collaborative manner. With its emphasis on practical skills and its real-life examples, this workshop provides a roadmap for adding to one’s toolkit a set of skills and practices that are foundational to developing a collaborative organizational culture.

This 2-day workshop is structured for all employees and it facilitates an environment where people within the organization are providing feedback and coaching one another after the workshop. This creates a learning environment which encourages risk taking and nurtures collaboration. It also enhances communication across units so that they work together seamlessly.

TESTIMONIALS

The Pacific Center for Collaboration has conducted multiple Facilitation Workshops for the NOAA Pacific Islands Office in Honolulu, which allowed a large number of employees to participate in this valuable training. The impact of having so many skilled facilitators in our organization was immediately apparent and far-reaching, including more effective meetings, more direct collaborations across divisions and offices, and improved communications between colleagues. In addition to these tangible benefits, the most impactful and unexpected result was the improved morale of both the trained staff members and the people they interact with.

Donna Ching’s Facilitation Workshop is an essential training we provide to our managers and staff. This workshop is a must for any emerging leader, as strong collaboration skills are foundational for leadership. We have Commission staff whose responsibilities include working and engaging with stakeholders, and leading or participating in project teams, where a collaborative approach is key for successful outcomes. We strongly believe this workshop helps them develop their collaboration skills to efficiently and effectively accomplish their work. Because this Facilitation Workshop is an important part of our managers’ and employees’ professional and personal growth, we intend to continuously provide this training to our managers and staff.
